1 Corinthians 10:1-13
“… our ancestors were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.” When God calls us, he demands the unreasonable, but he provides the impossible. He told Moses to get water out of a rock in the middle of the desert. He wouldn’t let Gideon go to battle until he’d reduced his army from 32,000 to 300. And he called this crazy dude named Francis to rebuild his church, so he built a tiny chapel. And God just shook his head, and said, “no … when I said ‘church,’ I meant an entire culture.”
